The people, the economy and the future of Mason City have just been handed an incredible opportunity…an exciting chance to demonstrate just how much we care about our city and its future!

Vision Iowa, a grant program of the Iowa Department of Economic Development, has announced that it will provide $9,000,000 to four Mason City projects, IF we accept and meet their challenge to raise just over $4 million toward completion of these facilities.  This amounts to a better than 2 for 1 matching opportunity.

Before any other new business opens, and before any other project begins, your contribution to this effort will help bring about economic development and enhance Mason City’s quality of life.

We have a short time to demonstrate our support for these projects and to seize and meet this challenge.  A description of each project and its benefits to our community are included on this Web site.

Quality of life continues to grow in importance as a reason for moving to or remaining in a community.  We cannot afford to miss this once-in-a-lifetime chance to leverage such a significant potential grant.

Each of these projects will add sparkle to our city and will play an important part in keeping people here and bringing new people to visit and to stay.

These are the last Vision Iowa funds.  They must go to an Iowa community.  If we don’t raise the matching local funds for our projects, another Iowa community will get this final Vision Iowa grant.  Let’s make sure the money comes to Mason City.  If we invest in ourselves, Vision Iowa has already said it will invest here too.
